A Giclee print is created by a digital printer's tiny ink jet that sprays millions of droplets of water-based ink on archival watercolor paper or canvas. Giclees are produced one at a time. Depending on the size, this intricate process can take up to an hour or more for each print. Afterward, giclees are coated with a protective finish to assure their longevity. The end result is always the same: beautifully reproduced works of art with the look and feel of the original painting.
